About The Position

RIDGEVIEW , a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has immediate openings for a Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) with our 24 hour per day, 7 days per week inpatient unit. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide high-quality, friendly care to our clients in a fast-paced environment. We have 12 hours shifts and part-time opportunities that can work around your school schedule, too. Requirements

• The Psychiatric Technician ( Psych Tech ) role requires a HS diploma or GED.
• Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and other team members.
• Must be able to be CPR and CPI certified (classes provided by Ridgeview).
• Valid driver’s license required and must be able to work weekends and various shifts.
• Must be able to respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations while maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• works with other members of the treatment team in maintaining a therapeutic environment
• is responsible for specific day-to-day functions
• provides patient care interventions under the supervision of the registered nurse
