About the position
RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate openings for a Part-Time Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) with our 24 hours per day, 7 days per week inpatient unit. Schedule is 2 night shifts (8pm-8:30am) per week. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide high-quality, friendly care to our clients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Work with other members of the treatment team in maintaining a therapeutic environment.
- Responsible for specific day-to-day functions.
- Provide patient care interventions under the supervision of the registered nurse.
- Respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and other team members.
- CPR and CPI certification (classes provided by Ridgeview).
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work weekends and various shifts.
- Ability to respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations.
