About The Position

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate openings for a Part-Time Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) with our 24 hours per day, 7 days per week inpatient unit. Schedule is 2 night shifts (8pm-8:30am) per week. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide high-quality, friendly care to our clients in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and other team members.
• CPR and CPI certification (classes provided by Ridgeview).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work weekends and various shifts.
• Ability to respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Work with other members of the treatment team in maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Responsible for specific day-to-day functions.
• Provide patient care interventions under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Respond to needs of individuals in crisis situations.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
