About The Position

The Inpatient Services Coordinator oversees the day-to-day administrative services of the Hospitalist Division. Provides guidance, training, and supervision to Inpatient Practice Care Associates. Ensures specialized clinical administrative services to the University Hospitalist Service program including daily patient assignments, patient internal and external transfers, Primary Care Provider (PCP) admission and discharge notifications are complete and timely.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher.
Must be able to work a flexible 8-hour daily work schedule, to include a minimum of two weekends per month.
Ability to cope with stressful conditions.
Ability to demonstrate tact, versatility, and adaptability.
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and directional initiative.
Working knowledge of data entry and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day administrative services of the Hospitalist Division.

Partners with the Hospitalist Medical Directors to facilitate day-to-day hospitalist program operations.
Oversees inpatient practice care associates.
Monitors daily patient assignments and internal and external patient transfers.
Ensures Primary Care Provider (PCP) admission and discharge notifications are complete and timely.
Monitors physician documentation and billing processes, including tracking and monitoring for timely completion.
Creates and maintains a friendly, welcoming, and well-organized office environment for providers and hospitalist staff.
Delivers excellent customer service to all patients, providers, staff, and others.
