Inpatient Rehab RN Per Diem
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient care for adult patients who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions and require intensive therapy. Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital is Connecticut's only freestanding acute care rehabilitation hospital, focusing on restoring lives through programs for traumatic brain injury, stroke/neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedics. This position is part-time with rotating shifts.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Two or more years of rehabilitation, orthopedic, or med-surg nursing in an acute inpatient setting
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed
- Monitor for complications, infections, or changes in condition, responding appropriately to emergencies
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence
