About The Position

MercyOne Genesis Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Inpatient Rehab/Hospitalist at Genesis West Campus. The role involves collaborating with physicians to provide assessment, management, or referral of health problems, as well as working with NP, nursing, and therapy staff regarding patient presentation. The position requires rounding on patients at GMC-West on the Rehab Unit, managing an average of 10-15 patients daily with a variety of diagnoses including Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cardiac issues, Debility, and Amputation. No procedures are performed or required. Current hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm, but there is flexibility on onsite hours.

Requirements

• Experience in medical management of Diabetes, HTN, Cardiac, and pulmonary conditions.
• Ability to manage deteriorating conditions if a patient experiences a decline in medical presentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to provide assessment, management, or referral of health problems.
• Work with NP, nursing, and therapy staff regarding patient presentation.
• Round on patients at GMC-West on the Rehab Unit.
• Manage an average of 10-15 patients daily.
• Handle a variety of diagnoses including Stroke, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cardiac issues, Debility, and Amputation.
