Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling the activities of the Rehabilitation Services Department. Requirements

  • 3 years clinical experience
  • 5 years management experience in healthcare in lieu of Master's degree and in lieu of PT (Physical Therapist) OR CTRS (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) OR OT (Occupational Therapist) OR SLP (Speech Language Pathologist)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA OR MHA in lieu of 5 years management experience in healthcare and in lieu of PT (Physical Therapist) OR CTRS (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) OR OT (Occupational Therapist) OR SLP (Speech Language Pathologist)
  • PT (Physical Therapist) OR CTRS (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) OR OT (Occupational Therapist) OR SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) in lieu of 5 years management experience in healthcare and in lieu of Master's degree
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • 5 years clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for budgets, staffing and program activity, productivity and quality.
  • Ensures department staff are managed effectively, including hiring, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed.
  • Develops and maintains procedures and staffing manuals to provide referral information to staff regarding policies and practices.
  • Establishes and monitors programs and activities necessary for departmental compliance with the requirements of JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for the integrity of confidential records regarding employees and patients.
  • Reports to assigned leader
  • Must be able to write neatly and legibly.
  • Requires constant use of good body mechanics.
  • Required to walk and stand throughout the day.
  • Exertion up to 40 lbs. of force to move objects.
  • Reaches, grasps, manipulates objects frequently.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard.
