About The Position

Summary Responsibilities The Administrative Assistant is responsible for creating therapists’ inpatient schedules, answering phones and triaging calls for importance and/or severity. Responsible for all front desk duties including, but not limited to, review of patient demographics and updating information in the computer system, verifying insurance benefits and obtaining authorizations, preparing patient charts for daily clinic, copying medical records, tracking staff productivity, sorting mail and filling out disability forms. Maintain current knowledge of insurance requirements and referrals for accurate billing submission. Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft applications including word, excel, and outlook. Exhibits professional conduct at all times and maintains a courteous and helpful approach to interactions with staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Epic Performance Manager/NetLearning. Must have high school diploma or GED. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Requirements
