About The Position

The purpose of this position is to perform the primary functions of a nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care. The Inpatient Registered Nurse (PCU/Step-Down/Tele RN) will work the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM in a full-time capacity at a 20 bed Small-Format Hospital, which includes 10 ER and 10 Inpatient beds. The role involves providing proficient, age-specific and developmentally/specialty appropriate nursing care by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients and families.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required; PALS strongly preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care.
• Follow physician's orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to required infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies.
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures.
• Handle care in accordance with legal, hospital/facility, and departmental policies.
• Perform all Quality Assessment activities assigned and document.
• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
