About The Position

The Registered Nurse Float at University East Hospital functions as an integral member of the team of care providers on the inpatient medical, surgical, and substance abuse units, fostering a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. This team, comprising RNs, Patient Care Associates (PCA), Student Nursing Assistants (SNA), Student Care Assistants (Sitter), and Unit Clerical Associates (UCA), delivers patient care and supportive services. These efforts are aimed at achieving patient care outcomes, maximizing patient involvement in their care plan, enhancing service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization, and decreasing costs. Patients and their families will experience the benefits of primary nursing patient-focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required
• Current Ohio license or interim permit
