The Registered Dietitian Clinical facilitates the nutrition care process to provide individuals with quality medical nutrition therapy for common disease states and/or to promote optimal wellness. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience Shift Details: Full-time (36 hrs/wk). This position will cover shifts in inpatient adult units, which include day shifts on weekdays, weekends and Holidays. Shifts are typically 8 hours, but flex as needed to cover patient care, some shifts are considered float shifts, these may be 4-6 hours. The position will cover inpatient adult units at McKay Dee Hospital, including the rehab and cardiovascular service line and the intermediate care service line. There is potential to cross train in the future as needed into other roles, such as adult ICU, newborn ICU or pediatrics. All dietitians on the inpatient team manage nutrition support, including tube feeding and custom parenteral nutrition, and provide patient education. Training includes mentoring in these areas. Department: Intermountain McKay- Dee Hospital Sign On Bonus: $2500 Essential Functions Completes and documents nutrition assessment. Assess and interpret nutrition-related lab values. Identifies and documents nutrition diagnosis. Identifies and implements appropriate nutrition interventions including quality nutrition education based on customer needs, expectations, and culture. Monitors and evaluates individual nutrition outcomes related to nutrition diagnosis, goals, and interventions. Communicates nutrition expertise with all appropriate healthcare providers. Collaborates with other dietitians including referring patients to specialty-trained dietitians as appropriate. Supports nutrition care across the healthcare continuum. Participates in department continuous improvement projects. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist order writing privileges per policy/protocol.
