About The Position

The Inpatient Physical Therapist Per Diem is responsible for administering physical therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with established standards, physician referrals, and the physical therapy plan of care. This role involves evaluating patients to identify their primary problems and developing appropriate treatment plans. The therapist will perform and modify treatment programs to maximize patient outcomes, document information to ensure continuity of care and maximize reimbursement, and maintain a schedule to meet productivity standards. Additionally, the therapist will provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), PT/PTA students, and various levels of support personnel and volunteers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
  • Current NJ State License in Physical Therapy (Required)
  • Knowledge of established standards for Physical Therapy
  • Ability to connect with patients and build rapport
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
  • Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
  • 1-2 years of prior experience (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with QCPR (Preferred)
