About The Position

Moore Regional Hospital’s pharmacy team seeks a dedicated professional to assist inpatient pharmacists in preparing medications, managing drug inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient medication management services that enhance the patient experience. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented pharmacy technician looking to make a real impact in healthcare, with a special knack for details and a desire to help fulfill FirstHealth’s mission “to Care for People”. Essential qualities include a great work ethic, strong communication and people skills, computer literacy, and solid high school level math skills. This position is for an overnight shift (8PM-6AM) working 7 days on, 7 days off.

Requirements

• high school diploma or GED
• eligibility to obtain PTCB technician certification within one year
• computer literacy
• great personality and ability to get along well with others
• desire to serve internal customers and patients
• hearing acuity
• visual acuity
• manual dexterity

Nice To Haves

• pharmacy technician experience
• hospital inpatient pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• sterile compounding
• non-sterile drug compounding
• pharmacy inventory duties (stocking, rotation of stock, outdate checking, etc.)
• medication distribution
• preparing patient-specific medications
• stocking and inventory management of Omnicell automated drug cabinets
• emergency drug kit preparation
