About The Position

The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh is a part-time casual role that involves various shifts and responsibilities related to the dispensing and delivery of medications. The technician will develop competence in using information systems and technology for medication management, preparing non-sterile products, entering medication orders, and managing communications with healthcare team members and patients. The role requires compliance with legal and regulatory standards in pharmacy practice.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student in the State of Wisconsin.
• Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire.
• High School Graduate.
• Good mathematics skills.
• Attention to details.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a pharmacy setting (not required but preferred).
• Certifications in Immunization and non-vaccine injectable.

Responsibilities

• Develops competence in dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Develops competence in preparing non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal recommendations.
• Develops competence in entering medication orders in the computer system and/or processing medication requests.
• Develops competence in managing phone calls from customers and team members.
• Develops competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation as required.
• Complies with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
