About The Position

If you are an nationally certified Pharmacy Technician looking for a new opportunity, our Barnes-Jewish Hospital Oncology Infusion Center at Town and Country is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team and serve patients across three key service lines—oncology infusion, non-oncology infusion, and multiple sclerosis (MS) infusion.
This is a compounding technician position
Monday–Friday
8-hour shifts starting between 6:30am-8:30am

The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, prepares medication orders, and assists in dispensing & transporting medications. This position also conducts sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, uses various automated/electronic systems and maintains the required documentation & records.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years
• No Experience
• State Bd Pharm Registration
• Pharmacy Tech Certification

• 2-5 years

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
