About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Pharmacist to join our Methodist Hospital team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: The pharmacist will ensure accurate and timely dispensing and safe and appropriate use of medications. This position will be primarily scheduled in our central pharmacy which includes inpatient (central) and IV room coverage. The role focuses on interpreting and verifying physician’s orders, completing pharmacy consults and staffing in the IV room. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or PharmD degree in pharmacy
  • Current licensure in Minnesota
  • Pharmacist registered in Minnesota who is familiar with pharmacy regulations and standards, medication delivery systems, information systems, automation, institutional practice and third party pay programs.
  • This highly organized individual should possess the ability to work effectively with others to efficiently deliver care for patients.
  • Leadership, written/verbal skills, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Intermediate level computer/keyboarding skills required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety to patients.
  • This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws, patient confidentiality, PNHS compliance programs, HCFA, CMS, TJC, FDA, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, EPA and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a PGY-1 Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred
  • Institutional experience (hospital or home care/outpatient IV) is preferred.
