Inpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
About The Position
Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, is seeking outstanding Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants with experience and/or interest in palliative care. The practice delivers palliative services within a hospital setting in the San Bernardino area. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, offering flexible hours. The successful practitioner will manage a specific patient load. The palliative program is overseen by experienced and board-certified physicians who are committed to providing training and in-service education to their staff, fostering professional advancement, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Have experience and/or interest in palliative care
Responsibilities
- Assess patients
- Provide palliative care to best treat the patient
- Define and document patient diagnoses
- Assure all patients are completely satisfied
- Patient and family education and management
- Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
- Actively participates in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
