About The Position

Emerald Coast Behavioral is currently recruiting an Inpatient Psychiatrist for their Open Adult Unit Programs in Panama City, FL. Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides acute psychiatric services in a secure and nurturing environment to adults ages 18 and older who are in a crisis. With confidentiality and sensitivity, our adult inpatient programs allow patients to begin treatment in an intensive and secure environment where they are cared for 24 hours a day by our team of compassionate and highly trained professionals. The clinical approach in our adult treatment programming is to quickly intervene through medication management and solution-focused therapy. Treatment includes group and family sessions; classes in coping skills, medication management and expressive therapy, which includes music, recreation and art. Our clinical staff utilizes a range of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). The adult inpatient programs provide protection from harm to self or others, medication support and therapy with the goal of stabilizing acute symptoms as quickly as possible so our patients can continue treatment in a less restrictive outpatient environment.

Requirements

• BE/BC in General Psychiatry required.
• Active or eligible for FL medical license.
• On-site presence mandatory.
• Comfort with seeing ages 12 and older preferred for occasional cross coverage.

Responsibilities
