Requirements

• Current State Occupational Therapy Licensure.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism.
• Ability to identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Ability to meet documentation standards and policies in a timely manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in acute care settings.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatients and develop comprehensive treatment plans to restore maximum functional potential.
• Direct therapeutic intervention to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Provide care to patients in the acute care setting.
• Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and functioning levels.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care.
• Provide care to inpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Maintain training and competency in regulatory requirements and standards.
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to assistants and aides.
• Participate in operational aspects of the department and performance improvement activities.
