About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of the Women and Children’s Unit, the Inpatient Nursing Supervisor of the Women and Children’s Unit will be assigned duties and responsibilities delegated by the Director of the unit. The Supervisor works to model patient safety, patient advocacy, teamwork, respect, and efficiency. The Supervisor will work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team across the inpatient units. The Supervisor is given the authority to handle incident reports (Midas), staffing and scheduling, onboarding of new hires, identifying educational needs for staff and other duties as assigned.  The Supervisor is responsible to provide and participate in staff education regarding changes in standard of care, quality, and regulatory guidelines.  The Supervisor is able to discuss services and work collaboratively with hospital staff, physicians and community resources. The Supervisor will also work House Supervisor shifts as needed or required.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in women and children’s and/or acute inpatient direct patient care required
  • Graduate of accredited RN nursing program
  • ASN/ADN degree required
  • Current Montana License as a Registered Nurse
  • BLS certification required
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and empathy towards others

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in charge nurse role or supervision/management preferred
  • Demonstrates progressive leadership abilities
  • BSN/BAN degree preferred
