The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for high school students. Students will work 1:1 with a preceptor and perform a wide range of patient care tasks under the nursing support scope. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care. This is a standard job requisition for the Inpatient Nursing Co-op position for the Wilkes-Barre area at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. A resume is required to move forward with application process. High school junior students must apply to this program their junior year to complete the co-op as a senior during the 2026-2027 academic school year. Inpatient Nursing Co-op students must attend a mandatory 2-day orientation (dates will be provided to students upon offer). Co-op hours on the assigned unit will begin in September.
