We are seeking a(an) Inpatient Hematology BMT Nurse for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? As the Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse, you will deliver phenomenal care for adult hematologic-oncology, autologous and allogeneic blood and marrow transplantation patients, and patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider, or ONS Chemo / Biotherapy Fundamentals Provider, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice.
  • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.
  • Plan individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.
  • Act in charge nurse role and be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and the skill of the staff.
  • Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.
