The Inpatient Counselor position requires a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor to perform psychosocial assessments on new admissions. The counselor will provide case management services for assigned patients, facilitate group therapy, and conduct individual and family counseling sessions. Additionally, the counselor will present lectures to patients and family members, participate in a treatment team with other professional staff, and maintain appropriate documentation and reports. Effective communication with patients' families, referents, and other professionals is essential. The counselor is expected to maintain professional standards regarding practice, conduct, continuing education, appearance, and relationships with patients and other professionals.
