About The Position

The Inpatient Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting the interdisciplinary team (IDT), including nursing and hospice aide services, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This role includes oversight of staff performance, compliance with clinical standards, and continuous improvement of patient services in an inpatient hospice setting. Primary Location: Community Hospice Hadlow Center for Family Caring located on Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville FL.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of nursing principles and hospice care practices
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work irregular or extended hours
  • Familiarity with state and federal hospice care regulations
  • Skilled in problem-solving and implementing clinical best practices
  • Proficient in computer use and record-keeping
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in hospice nursing care
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Medical clearance for communicable diseases prior to patient contact
  • Current immunizations, including TB, Hepatitis, and Flu
  • Participation in required continuing education and staff development programs
  • Adherence to ethical and professional standards as defined by the American Nurses Association and Nurse Practice Act

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Clinical Resource Nurse preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise, orient, train, and evaluate staff to ensure quality performance and competency.
  • Facilitate problem resolution to maintain continuity of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other clinical and support departments to resolve patient care issues.
  • Monitor and audit patient care progress and documentation; escalate concerns as needed.
  • Provide status updates to leadership on patients, risk management issues, and care trends.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff, patients, families, and external agencies.
  • Serve in a leadership capacity in the absence of the Director.
  • Participate in public relations, community events, and staff education initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Support budget review processes related to staffing, equipment, and supplies.
  • Flex across inpatient units and shifts as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
