This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using occupational therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard occupational therapy practices. In addition, this position is responsible for consulting, educating, and training patients, families, and caregivers and for collaborating with care teams and stakeholders to deliver quality, patient centered care. Join our compassionate and collaborative team as an Occupational Therapist within our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, where you’ll play a vital role in helping patients build functional skills, regain independence, and achieve meaningful participation in daily life. In this dynamic setting, you will partner closely with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that support emotional regulation, coping strategies, and engagement in purposeful activities. We are seeking a therapist who brings strong clinical judgment, creativity, and a patient-centered mindset—and we strongly prefer candidates with prior experience or specialized training in psychiatric or behavioral health settings. Your understanding of mental health diagnoses, sensory regulation, and trauma-informed care will be instrumental in supporting patients through stabilization and recovery.
