About The Position

Our recently formed Innovation strategy seeks to find ways for JHI and our clients to identify, understand, and execute on longer horizon developments that have potentially disruptive impact to the way we manage our business, and clients manage their investments. You will work directly with the Head of Innovation to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new opportunities for innovation, spanning the full breadth of our business from new product initiatives, how we utilize technology, how we engage with our clients and the broader community, to anything else where informed risk taking can benefit our firm, our employees, and our clients. Conduct research and analysis to understand emerging trends and technologies. Represent the firm with clients and at relevant conferences and industry events. Engage the organization to drive the Innovation agenda through communication, education, and training. Work closely with relevant experts across the firm to develop and present business cases for new initiatives. Assist in delivering a wide range of projects from idea phase through to full incorporation into the business. Inspire and motivate colleagues to embrace innovative solutions. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success. Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extremely organized in ability to take a project from concept to execution.
• Concise thinker with very strong written and verbal skills.
• High degree of intellectual curiosity, and a confidence in tackling new concepts.
• Non linear thinking with an ability to quickly identify connections between disparate areas of financial services.
• Pragmatic rationality. A dreamer who knows what makes a dream achievable.
• Ability to inspire others to buy into a vision, see its potential, and be motivated to act.
• Ability to navigate the inside of an organization effectively, understanding the complex human factors that can often determine success or failure.
• Incredible execution focus, and ability to work independently and comfortably take well informed risk.
• Comfortable with very direct communication.
