Position Purpose Under frequent supervision, gain a broad understanding of the RLI business through a real-world experience and on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Requires current enrollment in a College/University institution pursuing a degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field or position.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve basic issues.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in brainstorming and developing new ideas for products, services, and processes that align with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitor innovations, and emerging technologies to support the innovation team in identifying new opportunities.
  • Help with pilot programs for new concepts, products, or services.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports on innovation projects for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the innovation team in tracking key metrics and evaluating the success of implemented solutions.
  • Complete project- based assignments for other groups within in the Innovation Department such as Forms Design and Development, Policy Development, and Filing and Statistics
  • Work closely with experienced professionals, colleagues, and fellow interns to gain knowledge and develop team-building skills.
  • Attend planned education and social activities in order to gain an understanding of the RLI business as well as network.
