A Day in the Life We are seeking an Innovation Engineer – Senior Associate to join the Strategy and Transformation Team within the Enterprise Risk & Facilities organization. This team operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and enterprise transformation, serving as catalysts for Medtronic’s continued evolution in a dynamic environment. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will help shape and deliver the next generation of digital solutions that enhance the workplace experience for all employees and Medtronic’s overall patient delivery. You will design, build, and implement innovative tools and data-driven processes that drive operational excellence and empower end-users. Your work will span advanced analytics, automation, digital product development, and software engineering, turning ideas into reality and ensuring measurable business outcomes. We want you to help elevate us to the next level – taking our current products, processes, and analytics and building them into long-term platforms and solutions for Medtronic. This role can be based at any US Medtronic location At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree AND a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience building digital platforms / software and experience with advanced analytics OR Advanced degree with 2+ years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Successful experience building digital platforms / software
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Python, and web application development (e.g., Streamlit or similar)
  • Experience with advanced analytics, data modeling, or programming (e.g., SQL, cloud platforms like Azure or Snowflake)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into insights and actionable solutions
  • Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences
  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and challenging the status quo

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy interactive applications that enable end users to visualize data, automate processes, and solve business problems
  • Support the full lifecycle of digital and analytics projects – from ideation and prototyping to deployment and continuous improvement
  • Design, develop, and implement data-driven tools, dashboards, and automation workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Python, and modern web application frameworks (e.g., Streamlit)
  • Using software engineering, evolve existing analytics into dedicated platforms.
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements and innovative digital solutions
  • Develop clear, compelling presentations and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
