About The Position
The Innovation Director at RealTruck is a pivotal role responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive innovation framework that empowers the company to consistently develop and deliver groundbreaking Truck and Jeep accessory products. This position requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in building innovation capabilities, fostering a culture of creativity, and driving sustainable innovation over the long term. The Innovation Director will collaborate closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that innovation becomes a core strength and a key driver of the company's future success. In this role, the Innovation Director will establish and develop the company's innovation capabilities, including the necessary processes, tools, and methodologies to support long-term innovation development. A robust consumer learning agenda will be created to feed the innovation roadmap with products that are new to the world. The director will also drive the ability to quickly translate product concepts into marketable products, significantly reducing timelines. Training and mentoring cross-functional teams on innovative best practices will be essential to foster a culture of creativity and experimentation. The Innovation Director will create an innovation playbook and work with category teams to ensure a robust long-term pipeline, grounded by a category “North Star.” Developing a long-term innovation strategy that positions RealTruck as a leader in the industry is crucial. The director will identify and prioritize opportunities for breakthrough innovation, leveraging emerging technologies and market trends. Leading the ideation of revolutionary products that meet unmet customer needs and create new market opportunities will be a key responsibility. Collaboration with category, R&D, engineering, and design teams will be necessary to translate insights into innovative concepts. The director will oversee the development of prototypes, testing, and refinement processes, ensuring a smooth transition from idea to viable concept. Driving organizational change to integrate innovation into the company's DNA, promoting a mindset of continuous improvement and bold thinking, is essential. Establishing innovation metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive accountability across the organization will also be part of the role. The Innovation Director will build and nurture an innovation ecosystem that supports the company's long-term goals and encourages external input and collaboration, while staying informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive activities to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation.
