About The Position

Supervises disbursements of all fiduciary funds, EH. Cooper Trust Fund, special funds, prison industries private sector fund and community work center fund. Manages corrections into all fiduciary funds. Monitors inmates pay and accounting policies. JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: Responsible for the administration and supervision of all disbursements and deposits of the Prison Industries, State Inmate Pay, Private Sector Funds and Community Services Funds. Coordinate the accurate processing of inmate pay and accurately and properly distribute all W-2's for Private Sector inmate participants. Oversee Special Funds accounts to ensure accountability is maintained. Supervise the Accountant/Fiscal Analyst I for Special Funds area, who is responsible for verification and disbursement of all Special Funds Accounts. Collection and disbursement of generated reports for FA. Verify all Central Banking deposits entered by A/P. Complete monthly disbursement of Special Funds Subsidiary Ledgers. Monitor, assist in research, and process State and County courts and the Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon service for child support and/or restitution owed by inmates working in either the Work Release program or in a Prison Industries program to ensure that obligations are entered into the system correctly. Provide individualized and agency sponsored training to employees in the field regarding inmate pay related questions. Research and rectify banking concerns to all four trust funds. Coordinate, research & establish restitution for the Youthful Offenders being released under the Intensive Supervision program. Monitor agreed upon transactions to ensure accurate credit is given to offender through PPPS and county court orders. Receive, review and respond to ARTSM forwarded to HQ-FA. Coordinate Yearly tax preparation with state volunteer partner for inmate population. Cross train to cover EH Cooper desk when needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and five (5) years of accounting experience.
  • An associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and eight (8) years of accounting experience.
  • A high school diploma and ten (10) years of professional accounting experience.
