About The Position

Assembly Test and Technology Development (ATTD) is looking for a Factory Yield Development Engineer to join a team tasked with the objective of driving yield improvement across ATTD's portfolio of packaging technologies. As a Factory Yield Analyst, the successful candidate will work on shift and drive yield improvement by promptly responding to daily yield loss events through commonality, containment, and corrective actions. They will also develop proactive and preventative measures to improve yields. In this role, your responsibilities will include: Extract insights from structured and unstructured data by quickly synthesizing large volumes of data, applying statistical methods. Develop solutions to problems by utilizing formal education, knowledge of manufacturing process, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools (such as MBPS). Independently identify yield issues and drive prompt containment of issues. Work with both upstream, downstream, and cross functional key partners to ensure yield commits are met. Leveraging lab equipment, direct observation in the clean room, and analytics tools / techniques to identify root cause. Develops novel analysis techniques utilizing statistics and / or machine learning concepts. Drives defect reduction and yield improvement efforts across Intel's advanced packaging product portfolio. Works in a team which sets priorities for partner groups (modules, integration) to meet and exceeds yield targets. Continuously learns leading edge analysis tools and techniques to drive yields higher. Supports excursion commonality, LYA submission during Shift. Extract metrology data, write spec and RFC, finalize SPC limit, train technician. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or any other STEM-related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • Master's Degree Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or any other STEM-related discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience -OR-
  • PhD Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or any other STEM-related discipline with 6+ months of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in the following:
  • Knowledge and demonstrated capability of applying statistics/analysis to drive yield improvement.
  • Experience with JMP, JSL, SQL/SQL Pathfinder
  • Experience with Python
  • Detailed knowledge of substrate and/or assembly and/or fab back-end processes.
  • Sense of ownership and experience working with partners to drive yield improvement.
  • Prior experience in Defect Reduction, Yield or Module engineering roles.
  • Experience in Data Analysis and Scripting
  • Experience in Metrology equipment
