About The Position

The position involves weighing, blending, quality control, and delivering press-ready inks in a productive, efficient, and safe manner to meet the demands of the production schedule. The role requires following appropriate quality control and inspection processes for inks, preparing and maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the maintenance of the work off ink process. Additionally, the position involves reviewing the long-term schedule to predict ink usage, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the office and equipment, and performing various related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work the afternoon shift and overtime as needed.
• Strong safety background.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Previous manufacturing experience, particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, blend, QC, and deliver press-ready inks to meet production schedule demands.
• Follow quality control and inspection processes for inks.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of finished ink, tote and drum levels, and complaints.
• Assist in maintaining the work off ink process by regulating use and storage.
• Assist in the ordering process by reviewing the long-term schedule to predict ink usage.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the office, equipment, and floors.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Review quality of product delivered to customers for conformance to specifications.
• Review raw materials and suitability of finished matches on press.
• Review suitability of press returns ink for recycling.
• Perform ink estimating for jobs going to press.
• Perform color matching when requested.
