About The Position

The Ink Inplant Technician at Sun Chemical Corporation is responsible for providing basic color matching and small batch blending support at customer locations. This role involves producing and quality controlling inks to meet customer specifications, offering press-side technical support, and maintaining detailed production and quality control records. The position requires physical capability to lift heavy materials and ensure safe operations in a customer-facing environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of industry experience
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with dispensing and color match software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb. buckets and move 500 lb. drums
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Successful completion of drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
• Provide press-side technical support, mainly focusing on color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and quality control records.
• Identify rework opportunities based on batch ticket reviews.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
