About The Position
KORT Physical Therapy is currently seeking a Part Time Injury Prevention Specialist in an industrial health setting. This role will work onsite with our industrial contracts throughout Murray, KY Position: Injury Prevention Specialist- ATC, EMT, Exercise Physiologist Location: 732 Vine Street, Murray, KY 42071 Type of Employment: Part Time up to 24 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday (2 evenings per week) Compensation: Starting at $30.00/hour commensurate with experience Why Join Us: Industrywide unmatched continuing education (CEU) program with unlimited access to CEU courses, national certifications, and more Company-matching 401(k)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
- EMT Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiologist
- Applicable state license where required
- CPR certification
- Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
Nice To Haves
- Industrial Health experience
- Minimum one year experience as an Athletic Trainer
Responsibilities
- On-site coverage for an industrial client under the direction of Account/Program Manager
- Delivery of full continuum of Onsite Injury Prevention Services at assigned location. Prevention Services include:
- Assessment, triage, and first aid application for workplace injury/discomfort
- Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
- Design and implementation of functional assessments, preventative exercise, and stretching
- Job coaching and behavior modification, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Providing education and training on a wide range of injury prevention topics
- Office ergonomics
- Health and wellness consultation
- Documentation and reporting on employee encounters
- Regular communication with both client and Select leadership
