This might be the opportunity you have been waiting for! We are currently seeking a temporary, full-time, Injury Prevention Coordinator to work at our client site in Binghamton, NY . As the Coordinator you will develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs focused on the prevention of work-related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness within the manufacturing environment. This is done in collaboration with the Client’s employee healthcare teams, Plant Safety as well as other Client employee health-related departments. Schedule: Temporary, 40 hours per week, beginning around May 1, and ending around September 1, 2026, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm In collaboration with client's employee healthcare team, develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs focused on the prevention of work-related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field, or licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
  • 2+ years’ experience in health and fitness.
  • Ability to travel to several nearby locations in the area a few times per month (Elmira and Ithaca).

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Biomechanics.
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety.
  • Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing).

Responsibilities

  • Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
  • Leads the development and implementation of interventions/programs focused on the manufacturing environment to meet client objectives.
  • Assists employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
  • Collect and evaluate program data to support ROI process, manages and reports data for their assigned plant.
  • Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.
