The Injection Room Nurse is responsible for demonstrating knowledge and application of job duties within scope of practice and functions under the direction of their manager(s) and/or Director(s). This role involves respectfully interacting with all levels of staff, providing direct nursing care during assigned duty hours, participating in department activities, promoting independence, adhering to the attendance policy, encouraging socialization, and advocating for the quality of life of patients while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards. The position supports the company’s core values. Key duties include preparing the injection room, administering allergy injections, managing supplies, handling daily charges and co-pays, organizing and monitoring refrigerated vials, managing shot cards, ensuring consent forms are signed, educating patients on first injection policy, maintaining HIPAA compliance, monitoring emergency medications, and effectively managing emergency procedures. Additionally, the role encompasses front office responsibilities such as checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing end-of-day clinic charge reports.
