The Injection Moulding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating injection molding machines to produce plastic products according to specifications. This role involves monitoring production cycles, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The operator will also coordinate with other personnel to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise during the production process.

  • Arrive on time to your working station.
  • Contact machine operator from the previous shift to receive any corresponding information of the area.
  • Check machine production cycle and record.
  • Review the quality of product at your station to meet with QC Requirements.
  • Analyze any issue concerning bottles and caps with QC personnel and comply with policies.
  • Maintain working station to fulfill quality conditions, keeping it clean according to safety standards.
  • Be attentive to orders that are going to end so that mold personnel can be ready for mold change.
  • Set up production process for bottles and caps with the best quality.
  • Enter measurements of bottle and/or caps into the report.
  • Address any issue that might appear and find a solution.
  • Notify supervisor if any mold needs to be repaired.
  • No block or cavity should be removed without proper authorization.
  • Inform of any partial boxes to the operator in the next working shift.
  • Verify production schedule for each machine you are working with.
  • Inform of any issues with machines or molds right away.
  • Fill out production sheets daily.
  • Fill out and verify all cycles for every machine.
  • Fill out a setup sheet for every machine at the beginning of every order.
  • Arrange well the process for your working station.
  • Report all abnormalities and problems.
  • Coordinate runner boy activities.
  • Coordinate color preparation when needed.
  • Coordinate material with color to keep machine running.
  • Assure that the amount of color is enough to finish the order.
  • Organize breaks and lunch times for personnel.
  • Take lunch before every five hours of work.
  • 2 years of experience in plastics injection molding.
  • Ability to relocate to Ontario, CA before starting work.
