About The Position

The Process Technician "A" at Georg Fischer is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the injection molding process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of mold and tooling changes, machine troubleshooting, and maintenance repair. The technician will be tasked with setting up all tooling and mold base changes to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production environment. The ultimate goal is to produce finished products that meet the quality standards set by George Fischer Sloane, Inc. As the cell leader, the Process Technician "A" will not only manage their own tasks but also lead and train other employees in their respective roles within the molding operation. This includes performing changeovers of tooling and mold bases, troubleshooting all operating equipment, processing materials, and managing the start-up and shut down of the molding department. The technician will work with minimal supervision, ensuring that the correct materials are used at each machine and that all accessory equipment is set up properly, including material feeds and auxiliary cooling systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the Process Technician "A" will maintain safety operations, including safety switches and electrical wiring on tooling, and keep detailed records of tool setups, preventative maintenance, and run profiles. The role also involves adjusting machines to produce quality products, training Operators and Technician "B", and performing any assigned duties while adhering to company policies and procedures. The technician will also be expected to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and cover shifts in the absence of the Supervisor, supporting the established quality policy and fulfilling roles as required in the documented quality system manual, directives, and work instructions.
