About The Position

Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading global manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications. THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Business Unit Supervisor LOCATION: 485 W. 3rd St. Dover, OH Role The Injection Molding Operator is responsible and accountable for ensuring the proper procedures are followed in the injection molding production area. This position provides the expertise in running the process as defined, following production schedules in order to deliver product to our customers and meeting our goals of safety, right first time, on time delivery at or under budget. This position will require cross-training and knowledge of the entire process to produce conforming final product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form within all levels of the organization as well as with customers, vendors, suppliers and contractors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in processing injection molded parts
  • Knowledge of metallurgical analysis
  • Use of Microsoft Office, infor XA, and Minitab systems.

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor safety and required PPE
  • Ensure processes are being followed and are staying in control and capable
  • Work to the required schedule to ensure that parts are produced safely, with high quality, on time and under budget
  • Engage with associates and consultants to build understanding of the entire process
  • Follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure safe operation of all equipment.
  • Work to the schedule to ensure that parts are safely produced, with high quality, on time and under budget.
  • Work with process engineers and the Injection Molding Supervisor to define, test and implement new production improvements.
  • Ensure that defined processes are followed to produce parts with the best quality.
  • Engage with supervisor, lead associates and process engineers if the process variation impedes the ability to produce quality parts.
  • Daily interface with other department personnel to facilitate communication within the manufacturing facility.
  • Professional work ethic to ensure proper procedures are followed to produce quality product.
  • Engage with the Supervisor, Lead, Process Engineers and other Associates to help with process improvements.
  • Maintain a positive relationship support personnel.
  • Continue to develop and learn technical skills through coursework and job assignments.
  • Cross training in all areas to be able to adapt to the production demand
