Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! The position involves maintaining all facets of Injection Molding machines, associated processes, and PET Fiber Extrusion Lines. Technicians will need to comprehend and troubleshoot fluid power systems, including hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and valves. They must be able to read schematics, diagnose leaks, and perform preventive maintenance on these critical systems. Additionally, reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot electrical controls is essential. This includes working with single-phase and three-phase power, motor controls, servo systems, and safety circuits. The role also involves servicing and repairing support equipment vital to the injection molding process, including thermolators, chillers, resin dryers, material loaders, and cooling towers. Regular equipment inspections are required to proactively identify potential issues before they result in downtime and/or failure. The technician will work to reduce machine downtime to support production demand through proactive approaches, complete work orders related to machine repairs and preventive maintenance, and perform preventive maintenance on machines as scheduled. Troubleshooting complex equipment and processes, performing machinery/equipment repairs, and designing, engineering, repairing, and fabricating basic machinery parts as required are also part of the job. Lastly, assisting with molding machines changeovers to other products is expected.
