About The Position

KADANT BLACK CLAWSON LLC (KBC) is an established leader in equipment and systems for the international pulp and paper process industries. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Lebanon, OH, where we design and manufacture our products for customers across the globe. We currently seek to fill the position of Injection Molding Machine Operator on a temporary basis working M-F 7 AM to 3:30 PM or similar hours to accurately operates various injection molding machines, all while advancing KBC’s mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business. We anticipate this assingment may last several months.

Requirements

  • Possesses general knowledge of Fanuc robots.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for graduates of an accredited technical school.
  • Must have knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods.
  • Also requires ability to read blueprints, operate forklift, read measuring instruments, and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally; anything over 60 pounds requires two people, or the use of a lifting device.
  • The ability to climb and work from ladders, operate lifting devices, and move around the shop floor without assistance is required.
  • May also be required to work in confined spaces, crawling in, on, and under equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to a typical shop environment, i.e. extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements.
  • Must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes, along with additional PPE as required or needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination.
  • Operates injection molding machines ranging from 400 tons to 1100 tons.
  • Exercises special care to ensure the machine is running correctly, as damage to a machine may be costly.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of KBC product.
  • Accurately records job transactions.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
