About The Position
The primary function of the Injection Mold Technician is to set up, operate, and maintain Certified Thermoplastic's injection molding processes and equipment. The role is intended to be all encompassing and includes both development and production responsibilities depending on the current business requirements. Responsibilities include documenting mold change and machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. The technician will make effective technical decisions and communicate them to engineering, production, and management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Additionally, the technician will work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as needed. The role requires the ability to work towards and maintain production schedules for on-time delivery, manage raw mold material to ensure traceability and prevent contamination, and generate documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility. Collaboration with Quality and manufacturing departments is essential to ensure the quality of production and products produced meet company standards. Maintaining a clean and organized environment and ensuring safe working practices are also key aspects of the position.
