About The Position
Purple Innovation LLC is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to join our team at our McDonough, GA facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Injection Molding Machines (IMM) operate at peak efficiency, which is essential for our unique manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting performance issues, recommending maintenance schedules, and implementing process changes to maximize machine performance. Given that Purple utilizes many unique materials that are not processed anywhere else in the world, the technician will need to be innovative and resourceful in optimizing equipment and processes for these materials. The Injection Molding Technician will work closely with operators to ensure they are fully trained to operate their machines and perform light troubleshooting. This includes providing useful documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides for all shifts. The technician will also assist Engineering and Maintenance teams in troubleshooting IMM issues and designing changes or upgrades to the IMM equipment. While most days are expected to be from 8 AM to 5 PM, the facility operates 24 hours a day, and the technician will need to regularly audit operators on the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
