About The Position

The Injection Mold Setter is responsible for assisting Technicians with mold changeovers, identifying part defects, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions. This role involves setting up and operating molding machinery and support equipment, as well as performing material handling duties for the Molding area, including delivering raw materials, removing finished goods, and recording material movement in the ERP system. The setter will also assist with scheduled preventative maintenance functions and work closely with setup technicians and operators to ensure proper equipment operation. Adherence to OSHA regulations and maintaining good housekeeping are essential. The position requires knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Must possess good communication/interpretation skills, good visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematical skills, above minimum computer skill set, and reasoning ability.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt and learn.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for full manufacturing shift, ability to reach with arms extended and/or overhead, excellent hand dexterity, ability to bend, stoop, stretch and similar activities
  • Ability to accommodate occasional flexible schedule when required.
  • Must be able to safely operate required equipment for performing job functions.

Responsibilities
