The Injection Mold Operator is a critical role within our manufacturing team, responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi-automatic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic or rubber products. This position requires a keen understanding of thermoplastic materials and the ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams to effectively select, position, and secure machinery for production. The operator will be tasked with the primary setup of production jobs, which includes installing tooling, troubleshooting, and adjusting molding parameters to ensure quality and maximize product output. In this role, the operator will perform essential tasks such as executing mold and color changes, conducting general maintenance on machinery, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment, and loading materials into the hopper of the molding machine. Continuous monitoring of machine operations is crucial to detect jams or malfunctions, and the operator will need to adjust gauges to maintain specified molding temperatures and pressures. Additionally, inspecting molded products for defects and ensuring adherence to precise specifications is a key responsibility. The selected candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of materials and finished products, requisitioning additional supplies as necessary, and performing maintenance work such as cleaning and oiling machines.
