About The Position

At ConMet’s Canton facility, you’ll join a tight-knit technical team in our Molding department. You’ll be the hands-on expert who swaps out injection molds so we can produce plastic components for the heavy truck market—safely, precisely, and on time. Schedule: 12-hour night shift, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Your shift begins with a review of the production plan and a quick equipment check. You rig molds using an overhead crane, position them with a forklift, and bring machines online by connecting water, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical utilities. You verify parameters for the correct tool, run first-piece checks, and keep everything aligned to plant and OSHA standards. If something isn’t right, you flag it fast and collaborate with your supervisor to resolve it.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Foundational understanding of hydraulics
• Proficiency operating overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Install and remove molds on injection molding machines
• Configure machines to the correct mold and specified parameters
• Connect all required utilities: water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical
• Operate and inspect overhead cranes and forklifts for safe, proper function
• Escalate unresolved equipment or process issues to your supervisor
• Follow all plant safety rules and OSHA guidelines
