About The Position

Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and materials.

Strong “hands-on” ability. Job requires 80% on the floor activities.
Capable of reading and understanding schematics.
Computer skills, Excel, Word, Email, Power Point, Solid works.
A Bachelor's degree required or
An Associates degree with minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering related role in the automotive industry or
7-10 years experience in an engineering related role in the automotive industry.

Nice To Haves

PLC programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Write process design specifications.
Analyze blueprints and interpret technical data.
Develop engineering plan (control plans, PFMEA’s, raw material specifications, process control parameters, CP calculations, etc.)
Implement engineering plans by evaluating current situations.
Develop machine and tooling specifications.
Handle capital expenditure budget acquisition and control.
Procure machinery and tooling.
Develop schedule and coordinate activities of machinery and tooling suppliers.
Design equipment layouts for individual lines, cells, and zones.
Oversee manufacturing of product for pre-production trials.
Train manufacturing members on new and improved processes.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan.
Day-to-day floor activities for line improvements, down time issues, quality issues and manufacturing support.
