To maintain an accurate inventory of all ingredients, ensuring correct information is obtained, organized and delivered from the ingredient room. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Weighs, bags, labels and tapes/seals all bags leaving the Ingredient Room as well as weighs all the ingredients for the marinators. Pulls specification sheets from the QA department to know what ingredients will be needed for that day’s orders. Keeps the room neat, clean and sanitary for USDA inspections daily. Keeps all ingredients on pallets and covers in plastic wrap and washes any barrels before bringing them into the Ingredient Room. Keeps records on all incoming and outgoing ingredients, lot numbers and which lines used those ingredients and keeps track of any discarded ingredients. Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization. Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas. Physical Activities: Will lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, moving bags and standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, sitting and working on feet for 8-12 hour shifts. Works in a cool, wet, noisy, dusty, slippery environment.
