Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods. Company: Cobb Schedule: Monday-Thursday AND Friday Hours: Mon-Thurs 6:00 am-4:00 pm AND Friday 5:00am— 1:30 pm, including holidays and weekends. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs. Position Summary: This position is responsible for unloading and processing all bulk and bagged ingredients for mill feed production. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and have simple math skills.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting is a must.
  • Basic computer knowledge needed to produce Production/Receiving reports.
  • Must be willing to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
  • Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity.
  • Will be trained to recognize and comply with all safer' procedures.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift up to 120 pounds with the aid of a buddy.
  • May occasionally be required to ascend/descend a caged ladder 197 feet high.
  • Repetitive bending, reaching and squatting to retrieve samples.
  • Repetitive climbing of a 15-foot ladder to collect samples.
  • Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required, Hearing protection will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be wom as needed. Hard Hats, Reflective vests, safety glasses and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed.
  • TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.
  • The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming ingredients in bags, bulk trucks. (45%)
  • Keep assigned housekeeping areas clean, disinfected and pressure washed as needed. (15%)
  • Operate truck scales, and ticketing system. (15%)
  • Obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients including pit swabs, ingredient moisture content, bushel weight, observe ingredients with ultraviolet light. (15%)
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities: These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Such as: Operate Tyson Mill Control System (TMCS) Designate route, and grind, follow all Blow Down Permits. (10%)
