About The Position

The Material Planner is responsible for managing the flow of materials and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer requirements. This role involves coordinating with customers and suppliers, overseeing inventory adjustments, and participating in the closing processes. The planner will utilize SAP for managing material requirements and will be involved in physical inventory processes, supplier ratings, and production scheduling.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a material coordinator or planner role.
• Strong technical capacity and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication proficiency and time management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
• Leadership skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of contact for all customers and suppliers.
• Review budgetary targets affecting financials.
• Manage the shift/day closing process.
• Assist with weekly inventory adjustments.
• Run SAP MRP weekly and process customer orders for timely delivery.
• Maintain part status and classifications in SAP.
• Participate in physical inventory and cycle counting of raw materials and finished goods.
• Engage in the end of month closing process.
• Send out monthly supplier ratings and track expedites for customers and suppliers.
• Measure on-time deliveries for suppliers and customers.
• Review material usage variance, pricing, and stock days.
• Coordinate production schedules with the production scheduler and manage inbound and outbound shipments.
