Requirements

  • Should be able to use a variety of hand tools, razor knives, scissors, power tools, and overhead hoists.
  • Should be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Should be able to work a 10-hour shift standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Should be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
  • Have the flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals
  • Should have strong attention to detail
  • Should be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
  • Should be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits.
  • Should follow all safety standards and procedures
  • Should adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve.
  • Should demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience
  • Should be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other
  • Should be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions

Nice To Haves

  • Skills in fiberglass and resin preferred

Responsibilities

  • Installation of all flow media, vacuum, feed lines, and bagging material
  • Perform startup procedures in preparation for lamination which involves, identify various molds that are to be infused, locate materials and kits.
  • Work with various resins, fiberglass materials, and structural adhesives.
  • Work with the vacuum infusion process
  • Troubleshoot errors in the infusion process and uncover any possible leaks.
  • Run and maintain the infusion pump.
  • Laminate layers of fiberglass on molds by hand, roller, and brush working material into shape, removing air and smoothing surfaces.
  • Apply bonding and structural stiffening materials according to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Debag and prepare for secondary bonding.
  • Follow housekeeping and safety procedures
